does your toddler have a favorite blankie he or she can't live without?

Hayden got a diego blanket from my mom on his first bday and he still uses it. It used to be bad to where he woud get it out of the washer and wrap up in it wet, lol. He's went from calling it a nak, to nanket, now to blanket....my baby is growing up. He likes to bite on it for some reason and now it has one hole in it but he does not care, lol. Everywhere we go he has to take his blanket and if I forget it he gets really mad...I just hope he doesn't think he can take it to school. I tell you it gets hot in the summertime when I'm carrying him, lol

Yep! My mom knitted him one before he was born and that has been Nate's blanket from day one. We rarely go anywhere without it - though when we go out, it usually stays in the car. He's even asked me if grandma is going to make one for Mason because he doesn't want to share his "bankey" with him.

I had one, too. I slept with it forever - like through middle school. I would still have it if it weren't for the ex...

the boys don't have blankets, but they have lovies. They each have a bear they've been sleeping with since they were about 6 months old and about a month ago they each got a stuffed dog so they sleep with both their bear and their dog, won't go to bed without them! They go everywher with us! I am so paranoid about loosing them!

Oh my yes, Nicholas has always had a favorite type of blanket, I bought the first one for him when he was 6 weeks old and we were in florida and he wouldn't go to sleep without it after that, i left that one in La. accidently when we went somewhere else so I had to go hunt one down, i found one with the same material and different design so it worked well, then when we came home for thanksgiving i left that one, so we had to stop on the way to the airport and get another one so i bought two more and his favorite is his black pirate one he will NOT go to sleep without it now.

At least yours will settle with a different blanket. If we ever forgot or lost Nate's bankey, OMG - please help us!! KIDS!

Hayden has his lovies too except he calls them his babies. Theres four of them. Theres a puppy he got for vday, a monkey he got while in the hospital, a chicfila cow he won, and a bear I won out of a walmart machine, lol. Every night he wants his blanket and his 4 babies

that was when he was little lol, now he won't go to sleep without the pirate one, he's obsessed with it, he had to warm up to the news ones too, he'd cry for his but he would get sleepy enough that he'd cuddle up with the new one and give in, i've been lucky lol

Both of my boys have 2. Jonathan has one with a train and one with sports stuff. Brantley has one with yellow bears and one with "Cars".

Troy hates, I mean hates, all blankies, but he has a bunny that he CAN NOT sleep without!

I think my child is the odd man out. He is not attached to anything but does sleep with 3 blankets and they stay on his bed...he doesnt take them anywhere.
