Something is seriously wrong with John. He is failing out of school, has no motivation, his attitude sucks and he sleeps all the time. I actually sent him to live with my mom for awhile since he says that he can't stand it here and doesn't get along with my DH. But it's just got worse. Yesterday was his bday and we went over there for dinner. When I got there he was sleeping. Mom said she tried to wake him 3 times and he would just mumble at her. I tried waking him up and he could barely keep his eyes open and was mumbling to me and very groggy. Well when he finally did get up his eyes were very bloodshot. I asked him why he was sleeping and so tired and he said from school. Well yesterday after school he called my mom and told her he was going to hang out with his friends for a bit. She told him he needed to be home by 5 cause I was coming for dinner. I called him to see what he wanted for dinner and he claimed he was on his way home to my mom's. As soon as he got home he went to bed.
A few months ago he was tested for mono because he had a sore throat that wouldn't go away but the blood test came back negative. So that has always been in my head too that maybe he does have mono. So I called the dr and I'm waiting for a call back. To see if they can recheck him and while he's there do a UA on him. I'm not sure if they can do one or not. But something is seriously wrong with my child and I'm so worried! |

That is something that they can check for at his doctors office...he could be sick and something going on ....but it would be good to rule that out as well before you go through a bunch of expensive tests.
First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer |

I called the dr's office and they will not do a drug test on him. She said they don't do them there cause regulations state there can not be a sink in the same room. She said I could go to the hospital and have a drug test done but he would have to consent to give a sample which he probably wouldn't. So I'm screwed! She said they can also be bought OTC but then we run into getting him to give a sample.
I'm seriously thinking about talking to an officer to see if they could have the drug dog do a search of his car to see if anything turns up. I'm at a loss as to what to do! |

Well I say if he won't consent then he has something to hide..........

Exactly. Well today I get home and I have a message on my phone from the police department. It was actually the same officer that is the school liaison. I called her back and she asked if I owned such and such a vehicle and I said yes that is my son's car. She said well it had a school bus stop violation this morning! Well Hmmmmm! Good for him! He hasn't had his license for a year yet actually may be 1 full year tomorrow. So she's going to catch up with him tomorrow and write him a citation which means he will lose his license till he turns 18. While I had her on the phone I discussed my concerns with her about him. She did tell me that many parents don't even think about drug use when grades fall. But she said in her training for being a school liaison she said that is one of the first things that should be suspected. There is also a juvenile court liaison there at the school and she is going to talk with her about seeing what if anything I can do. But I'm thinking about just getting a drug test and give him no choice but to give a sample!
