I finally got so bad, I went to the dr to get xrays last week - nothing showed up, but she did say I do have a bad pinched nerve and muscle strain the way I am walking. So, got to take it easy for a while.

Oh Shelly you have no clue how lucky you are I have been having hip pain for OVER 7 yrs now and have had numerous X~Rays and MRI's on my hip and have been told by 3 Different Doctors that I need Hip Replacement surgery. Now I just have to find a doc that is willing to do it with a hospital where there are No Insurance issues. .

I wish it was as simple as a pinched nerve for me.

I am so sorry for the long term of pain you have had! I have had the same, but this time it got so worse I was falling, this occured for 2 months and I finally went to the dr and this is what she came up with! I don't have insurance either at this time! so, I can't really do much!I just went part time with my job so I can try to rest it for a while, though its not the best choice to go part time but got to do whats best for me!! (hehee gives me time to concentrate with school and be with JT)Anyhow, hope all turns out for best for you! Hang in there !

I am in the Process of Trying to first Find a Hospital that takes my Insurance. Then Once I do that then I have to find an Orthopaedic Sugeon that Works at that hospital and Who also Takes my Insurance. Then after that I just have to Convince him/her to do the Surgery.

You See I have Cerebral Palsy so ALL of the Regular Orthopaedic Surgeons that I have Seen ALL of them Agree that I DO need the Replacement but they are All Unwilling to do it Because they say I need a Neuro Orthopeadic Sergeon for the Cerebral Palsy..........I've done my Research and am Yet to find a Neuro Orthopaedic in NJ. I've been told there are NONE So my Search Continues.

I have learned one thing about doctors...they will come up with anything and everything or nothing at all. Never take one doc's opinion on chronic pain unless they can prove it to you. If they are saying a pinched nerve they should be able to show it to you on an mri...if not they probably dont know and need something to tell. i hate to sound cynical but its true...i have bad hip pain after a car accident and they tell me nothing is wrong... make them figure it out for you and prove it in the long run its for the best...hip pain is horrible.
