She was going to stay at my sisters tonight but I got a call from my sister asking me if I was up for an ER visit tonight. I was like what? She told me Erynn smashed her thumb between two bricks and it had lots of pressure, you could see the blood building up under the nail and it was blue and majorly swollen. So I loaded up the kids and ran to pick her up. But by the time I got there her finger had started to bleed from under the nail so the pressure and swelling had gone way down and I only see a little line of a bruise. She can move it fine so I am just going to watch it but I think its pretty likely she will lose her nail. I am glad I didnt have to make an ER visit since it was almost 10 by the time I got to my sisters. Hopefully tomorrow it isnt any worse and we will just be on the road to healing. I felt so bad, smashing your finger really bites. Ouch!!

well she has been a little trooper. She did bump it on something yesterday and it started to ooze a little clear stuff with some blood too. I am still watching it to make sure it isnt showing signs of major infection.

Her nail is almost completely off now. It is the grossest thing ever.......yuck. today was the first day I actually saw how much the nail lifted up and I thought I was gonna vomit. I didnt WANT to see that, I have just been trying to keep an eye on the cuticle and just watch for infection and she lifted it up and caught me off guard.

Yeah that's really gross. Makes me shiver just remembering Aly's toenail from last summer. That's just an image you can't forget very easy, lol
