how long do babys usually stay colicky after they're born? is over a year unusual?

no idea, each kid is different. my kids never had colic.
if this is about your neighbor's kid and it bothers you so much you should say something about it.

I agree if you're that concerned call DSS and explain what's going on, that you're not sure if anything wrong is happening but you're concerned especially since they don't speak english and you can't communicate. Just ask if it would be possible to get an interpreter over there to check up on things so you can feel better and know the baby is okay.

We are not there, we don't know the situation, the parents or the baby.... we can't tell you if it's colic or something more serious. We support each other but we don't give a diagnosis...this is a message board.
