This time I took both Leah and Adam. Leah has had a nasty snotty nose for about a month now, but yesterday it turned that yucky green color. So I knew she needed to go in. And Adam has been coughing for about a month as well, so I figured that while I had Leah in, I may as well take Adam, too.
So we get in there and the doc looks at Leah and says that not only does she have a sinus infection, but her ear infection from 3 weeks ago is back. Terrific! Antibiotics for her. She said she thinks that her problem is allergies and that her little body just isn't good at draining out the yucky stuff.
Then she listens to Adam's chest, checks him all out. Come to find out he's got an ear infection as well. Who knew? Then she springs on me that she thinks his problem is allergies, too! So she gave him prescriptions for a nebulizer, singulair, and antibiotics for his e.i.
They had the nebulizer at the office, so we took one of them home with us. We had to buy a mask for it, along with the 4 perscriptions at Walgreens and so far I've spent over $80. I can't wait to see how much the insurance wants us to pay for the neb. He's got to do 3 treatments a day until we see "drasticly noticeable improvement" in his breathing and his cough. Then we take it down to twice a day for 2 days, then once a day for two days.
All this on top of the wedding hullaballoo we've got going on this weekend! Calgon, take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!
