The kids have cleaned house with their 4H projects. Alisyn did the most projects so I will tell how she did first. For her fine arts she got a blue, her photography she got a blue, her foods(cookies) she got a blue, her microwave cooking she got reserve champion, soybeans and corn for crops she got blue, cat knowledge she got a blue, cage decorating(for cats) she got a blue and for the cat she got a blue(even though he was stressed out up there and bit the judge....lol) Austin got a blue for his corn and soybeans, his corn was tied points wise with the second highest points so he was in the running for reserve champion for that but the other corn won that title. His rifle for shotting sports he got a red but it was an improvement from last years white and for Archery he got Champion. He was wayyyy high on his points for that, like his score was even higher for the next age group then their champion, now granted their target is a little further away so who knows how he would have done on that. He got his first trophy for that Champion so he was thrilled. The pigs show tomorrow so I will let you all know how they do with that. It is nice to come home with such great awards after all the hard work they put into it(and all the stress mom put into it). I took pics so I will post them at some point.

sorry, 4H is a club where they do lots of projects. The 4H stands for something, like heart, hands, I dont really know but anyway. They have livestock projects, cat, dog, bunny, goats, all kinds of animals they can do. Woodworking, cake decorating, aquatic science, child development, clowning, lots of fun things like that and they can pick the projects they want to take, there are meetings for the projects so they learn how to do things. They have manuals they have to do projects in, record sheets they have to fill out and then they can turn in a project, it can be a simple poster all the way to like making something in woodworking, or baking something, just depends on the project. The ribbons go Blue is good, that means you did well on your project, red is in the middle, white welllll you pretty much bombed it....lol. Then from the blues, they can pick an honor group meaning they were the best of the blues, from the honor group they pick the champion and reserve champion. Then depending again on the project they might take the champion from each class and do a Grand champion and reserve grand champion. Its a very tedious thing but it really teaches kids responsibility.
