So our neighbor across the street (it's just the mom and her 16 year old son that sometimes comes over to play with ariel) spent a week at Myrtle Beach (lucky ducks!!). Before they left Ariel asked her if she'd bring her a hermit crab. lol. June said she would. I told Ariel that she'd probably forget that she was going on vacation and it might be hard to remember to bring something back. Especially something alive! Ariel said, "I know she's going to mom!". So Ariel did a countdown every day for the week. June and Connor come home and low and behold June comes bringing Ariel a hermit crab in a nice little home with a water sponge, colorful seashells to cover the bottom of the container, and a cool painted shell for "kirby" (that's what Ariel named him) to move into when he gets too big for the one he has. She must've spent $20 on this thing for Ariel! I thought that was just incredibly sweet. We've never had sweet, thoughtful neighbors before! So yesterday we went and picked her up some gorgeous lilys to plant in her yard and a thank you card that Ariel signed and took over to give her to thank her for our Kirby. lol. I have to admit.. I think he's pretty awesome and I love having a pet that doesnt require much to keep him happy! Giggle

I was considering getting some. I had empty tank syndrome. But with the iguana and new baby beardie, I am done with pets for now. LOL
Hope you enjoy the little guy!

Oh, you might want to keep finding different shells. He may not like the one you have for him to move to. Wink

I'll have to look into finding him some more shells... Hopefully there's a place around here that sells them. I've never dealt with this. lol. I really hope he does move into the shell that she got for him though.. it's neon green with blue stripes. I think he'd look snazzy. lmao.

She grew on him like she was a colony of E. coli and he was
