Am I the only one ticked off at Bella towards the end of this book????
. . . . . . . .I'm warning you.... SPOILERS AHEAD!!! . . . . . . Between her dragging her feet wanting to marry him (what is her deal?! If that perfect man wanted to marry me.. I'd be like NOW PLEASE before you change your mind!). lmao. Heck I'd be like now please just so he'd sleep with me. I'm so bad. lol. And then her kissing Jacob like she did. She's lucky Edward is Edward. I was wanting to just smack her! I know there are Jacob fans out there, but I'm so not one of them. Not at the end of this book anyways.   |

Yeah I was irritated. But I think it was necessary to show how manipulative Jacob is and I can understand her fear of marriage since her Dad has been pining away alone for so long since her Mom walked out. I think when you see that kinda pain, it makes you hesitant, even with the perfect man.
Although, like you, I would marry him in second for the honeymoon alone! lol  |

Jacob is very manipulative... I think that's why I don't like him so much. I was fine with him in New Moon. I had a soft spot for him. He was no Edward, but he helped get me through those gazillion pages until they got Edward back. Now I'm just not caring if he got eaten by the newborns. lmao.

Yes I was irritated. Its like Jacob manipulates and Bella doesnt say no. If I were Bella Jacob would have been soooooo put in his place when Edward came back. And if I were Edward I would be thinking that she was not that serious about him- a mixture of not wanting to marry him and all the BS with Jacob. I mean she practically falls over herself to get him in New Moon and then acts like 'big deal, I have Jacob too'. Ya, it irritated me....

Oh I was pi$$ed at her her!!! First for asking him to stay and allowing his family to fight without him (which ended up being a blessing in disguise), then for kissing Jacob (but she was scared he'd get himself killed), the for hesitating to marry Edward. HELLO!!! HE'S PERFECT! Say YES already!
 And Jacob is soooo manipulative. I think Edward knew what he pulled, as he said Jacob played dirty.  |

Actually I wasn't mad at her or irritated......I think it's a hard place to be in...when you are so madly in love with one guy....but you love another too.....Stephenie Meyers explanation is in my siggy....and when I read that I totally understood what she meant...
Yeah she kissed Jake....but did she kiss him because she was totally in love with him...or did she kiss him because she knew that would make him fight harder and knew that no matter what at least she made him a little bit happy even if he didn't come back...that's the way I saw it... I don't know why but I can totally identify with Bella....     First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

I was more irriated with Jacob than with Bella. Cause he was acting so sorry to her. But yeah I would have married Edward in a heartbeat. I would have run off to Vegas the very day he proposed LOL.

I could understand her wanting to save Jacob, I wasn't irritated with the kiss for that because I knew her motives... but I was irritated when she didn't stop and it described her as actually getting into it. ewww. Jacob? lol.
But I really do love this book, it's been one of my favorites so far. |

Well, he's no Edward but he's still supposed to be pretty dang hot lol Plus, he sort of represents all she's giving up to be with Edward.
Not that he doesn't annoy the ever loving daylights out of me!  |

The kiss between Bella and Jacob was pretty necessary. It was a little irritating, but totally understandable. It gets so much better!!!

Ok,so I finally looked at this thread,lol
I went to a few stores trying to find eclispe and they were out,so I go to the grocery store for a few things and bam,there it is,so I bought it.But so far its not as good as new moon,Bella is already annoying the hell out of me!I want to know if she gets changed..guess I need to keep reading! yeah I'm like 500 pages into the last one.... I havent really been able to read the past couple of days because of Clarity being so sick and me being exhausted taking care of her...
but that's okay... cause it makes me sad to think I have less than 300 pages and then it's over! |
