ok who else has read this book by Stephanie Meyer. I got lucky and got it from the library without being on the list....got it Tuesday afternoon....I had went online to see if anyone had it in and ONE library did....about a 15-20 min drive from my house.....so i go and grab it....the ONLY reason they had it on the shelf cause it was a "new" book. and they place all new books on the shelf for a few weeks before letting them be put on the "wanted" list....and every other copy of The Host was checked out and the list was like 100+ people....so yeah i got REAL lucky haha.....
anyways i finished it yesterday....which im sad about haha....it was such a GOOD book!!!! just as good as the Twilight Series....It would be great if it were a series....I think there can be so much more after the end of this book!
I read it when it first came out but I didn't love it. It was too sci fi for me and I thought it took too long to get going. I am more into the supernatural thing than the sci fi thing so it wasn't really my typical book choice anyway.
I did hear it'll be a saga as well so I will probably get the second book to see if I like it any better.
im into the scifi stuff myself....i didnt find it slow going....i think its her style of writing that she has....she just makes everything flow nicely i think...i would LOVE to read a second book if she writes one!
Well now i will have to pick it up and read it. I avoided it after reading Twilight because I didnt want to compare the two, but its been enough time so I think I will read it.

they are both very good books in their own way!! you wont compare them!! i thought i might too thought i'd not like it as much as twilight but once i started reading it i got sucked in and forgot all about twilight LOL
So the book still sits on my shelf collecting dust. I hated it. Got 1/4 of the way into it but it just is not the book for me. My mom and I both hate sci-fi so it was a waste of money for us. she tried reading it to but just couldn't get into it.

That's how I felt too Kriss. I actually donated mine to the library since I knew I would never read it again. I think I also kinda resent the book because she could be spending the time that she's spending on this series to write more Twilight books! lol
