That's just a horrible thing...I can't imagine what she's been through....but yet I couldn't imagine being her parent and finding out she was alive!
First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

Ick...just makes me crazy disgusted that someone could do something like this to someone else. And what is with this creep's wife going along with it all! Gross.
This whole story has just broken my heart. DH and I were talking yesterday about our nearly 11 year old daughter who greatly resembles the picture of Jaycee when she was 11 and how we could prevent this happening to her. To be honest, if I was watching from the window, I would let her walk to the busstop...then again, after all this, it just makes me wonder. How much do you protect your child and how much is just life happening and you can't stop it? I do believe there is not enough punishment on this earth for this couple!
Yeah my sister and I were talking about the kids too since they walk to the bus stop about 1/2 mile down the road in the country. so They are setting up a parent watch station. You can see the bus stop from my sisters front window plain as day but if someone were to drive up and take one no one could get there in time.
So she and the neighbors are taking turns sitting there for drop off and pickup. My sister usually will be the one following them home from the drop off since her kids are last on the rout but at least she will be there to make sure the kids get inside the home.
She is also looking into see if there is a GPS tracker she can get that will allow her to ping her kids if sometheing were to happen.
