BlueSparkle,

Seriously, you're 18 wks and not wearing maternity clothes, and you already have a little one? I've been in them for months. I feel as big as a whale, but when I see pics of myself, I just have a bump. I carry pretty low, so regular clothes are very uncomfy.

So, how's everybody carrying? No two carry alike. I'm starting to watch what I eat more, too, because from now on, it's a pound a week, and hopefully not more! Giggle

I can barely turn over in bed, too. And, forget bending over to get something I drop on the floor! Fun, huh?

No word of a lie Jo my mat clothes fall off of me. I wish I was showing though I kinda miss it, I do have a small bump but it seems to be high so it isnt in the way of my pants.

With Payton I carried low and well right now it seems to be higher but I cant remember how I was with Payton in the beginning. I have been getting some nasty ligament pains which are not fun but other than that I am doing fairly well.
I had a scare with Payton at 16 weeks and wasnt able to lift anything and had to take it easy so this time around is totally different.

Well, if you had trouble with Payton, different is good, even with the weight loss, yes? My first two pgs were completely different -- barely showed the first one, lots of chair/bedrest for the second, and ppl told me I'd have the opposite sex. They were right (got lucky?).

Do you know what you're having? I hope you start gaining, soon. Feel better. Hopefully the ligament pain will stop soon, too. Grow, little baby, grow!

Well...I'm due June 5th (my five-year anniversary) and Boy Binky it's a boy - again. See...my husband's side of the family doesn't MAKE girls, so I was SO not surprised when the ultrasound tech announced it's a boy. So...it'll be me with a bunch of testosterone running around the house. Wish me luck!

I'm 22 1/2 weeks now and I'm really starting to show. Luckily I wear scrubs at work so I don't have to get a bunch of maternity clothes. I'm feeling pretty good but I'm having to watch what I eat because I've already gained 20 pounds! GAH!! I was hoping I wouldn't gain as much this time around because I started off weighing less in the beginning, but it's not looking to be headed in that direction. This is definitely going to be my last pregnancy. I love this time in the pregnancy, but I really don't care to be pregnant. Especially the early days. Oh, and the end when you feel like you're as big as a house and don't want to do anything but you need to still do everything! LOL

This is my second and it'll be interesting to see how he compares to his older brother. And speaking of older brother, it'll be neat to see how he deals with the new arrival!

Welcome MommaMeg! Congrats on your baby boy, I am due 2 days after you with a surprise baby. How are you feeling so far?

I am doing pretty good, Patrick was gone for 14 days to work out of province and it was pretty tough on me, we got a ton of snow and shoveling sucked! So far I am at 3 pounds gained, which I am not sure if it is good or bad. My Dr isnt back until the 18th so I have no idea when my next appointment is. I go for my 20 week u/s on the 23rd which would make me 25 weeks, gotta love living in a small town Lost It

I'm actually feeling alright. The morning sickness has gone away, but the heartburn is taking its place. We found out early that it was going to be a boy - I went in for an US because my doc thought I might have placenta previa (didn't though) around 16 weeks, maybe a little earlier. I'm lucky because my OB/GYN works in the same clinic as I do...makes having appointments a breeze!! Other than that, I'm just trying to wrap my head around the idea of having an almost 3-year-old and a brand new little one in the house.

Hi MommaMeg and BlueSparkle. (Where's Kim?)

Glad to hear from you, that everyone is doing well. I'm still surprised to hear that people are finally beginning to show, as I've been showing since 4 mo! Apparently, I don't show as much as I think, because my dentist, on hearing that I'm expecting, didn't understand the comment and asked what I had had. So, I got a reminder that 7 mo pg (27 wks today!, is that really 7 mo like WTEWYE says?) is what I'll look like post-partum. I'm starting to wear looser clothing so my belly isn't as obvious. Those maternity teeshirts show EVERYTHING.

I've had a lot of discomfort the last month walking with loosey-goosey tendons in the groin area, but I seem to have turned a corner; I'm much better the last couple days. Can you believe we went to Disney World last week and I walked through parks and airports for hours on end? It was fun; no strollers or diapers to worry about. Speaking of, I bought the first pack of diapers last week! Time is flying, Braxton Hicks are often and uncomfy, and ds#1 was born at 35 weeks, so I'm trying to get ready. Maternity leave started last week.

Send more updates, ladies. Let us know how work/kids are.

Anyone decided on a nursery theme? I like the Olivia bedding set at B'RUs, but $189 USD is a lot of money for a crib set.

Hi Jo!

Glad to hear you are doing better these past couple of days! I am not looking forward to discomfort Lost It

we are leaving the nursery the same as we did with Payton. It is blue and yellow with some Winnie the Pooh. However if we have a boy we are going with a sports theme and a girl will be Princess.

Hi All!!
I am not showing, I just look fat. LOL I too am having another boy...hit hard at first but now I am excited!!
I dont want a theme with this one so I am going with blues and browns and found my crib bedding at JCP.com. Yes it is expensive but they will use it for a few years. My son is almost 3 and we use everything but the bumper pads.
Hope everyone isnt too too uncomfortable and man I cant wait for spring..I am hating this cold weather!!!!!!!!!

I'm 23 weeks and am showing. Just the other day my dh commented on how BIG I'm getting...yeah, cuz I needed to hear THAT! Luckily I wear scrubs to work so all I have to do is get drawstring pants and a bigger top and I'm ready to go. As for home, I usually wear stretchy pants like pj pants or yoga pants and a big t-shirt. DH doesn't care for it much, but he's not the one having to carry around this big 'ol belly.

Anyway, instead of changing the baby's room all up, we're changing the "cave" (read: dh's room) in to Nate's room. The walls are currently very dark gray, so we'll be painting them - probably some shade of blue. As for bedding, I found a couple really cute ones I like and they're no more than $65 for the set. I like the one we had for Nate, but it's all gender neutral because we didn't know if it was going to be Nate or Natalie. LOL

Had my 24+ week appointment today. My glucose level was good (90) and my blood pressure was low (90/60) but I measured a little big (26 instead of 24). She said it's nothing to worry about, but she'll keep an eye on it. Got to hear the heartbeat, which is always a good thing. Complained of heartburn - but that's nothing new. I get my Rhogam shot next visit and we'll talk about pre-reg at the hospital and birthing classes, etc. next time. So, I guess I just keep doing what I'm doing. It's nice to have a non-complicated pregnancy!! I've been feeling pretty good except for this wonderful head cold/allergies, but I really can't complain. Next check is in four weeks, so around March 17th.

Hey Ladies! How is everyone feeling? I'm 33 weeks and HATING the third trimester, I am so tired and my stomach is never happy; I seem to get stomachaches and pains all the time. Oh, and my nausea came back!

Raleigh is an active baby though, and it tickles me to death that she is able to poke back when I rub or pat my tummy. I am so ready for her to get here!

Anyone actually having a pleasant 3rd trimester?

I'm just barely in my third trimester at 31 1/2 weeks. I'm dreading the late pregnancy stuff. I'm starting with the hip pain, horrible heartburn and lack of sleep. I have about 60 days to go and I can't wait!!

I was feeling okay until I started working mornings notfair Getting up at 3am and working 4am until 2pm is way too much for me and by the time I get home I am just exhausted and want to sleep. However that doesnt happen as the house work isnt going to do itself.

I go to the Dr's next Friday and we will see if I am still measuring ahead. When I went last week, I am now measuring 6 weeks ahead starting to wonder what the heck is going on in there.

Ya the Dr isnt to sure what is going on. It might just be a big baby, which is already is. When I went for my u/s the baby was weighting what a 34 week should weight not 30 weeks. My fluid levels were good, so I went for the 3 hour glucose test on Tuesday and am just waiting for the results.

Wow! 6 weeks IS a big difference. I hope the 3-hour glucose test comes back normal and I would think they'd be back by now. I bet you'll have your baby before I do...

I passed the 3 hour test which is good news! Now I have to go for one more u/s before 38 weeks to check the weight. With living in a small tonwn they will have to make sure they are staffed if I need a section, but I might have to get sent elsewhere, which was my fear of having a section if I had the placenta previa.
