Well it went great! We really liked the agency. The plan was to wait to begin things until after the first of the year. We found out today that the wait for an infant is between 2-3 years. Sooooo, during our ride home, actually as soon as we got in the car, my DH said, let's go ahead and get started! Granted we're hoping we don't have to wait that long but if we do we know there's a child waiting for us.

The first step with them is a preliminary application. Once we get that filled out and sent in, they'll call us with the "formal application" and all of the paperwork. We'll then have to go to an orientation meeting (most likely in November) and then complete the home-study (3 separate meetings; 2 in office, 1 at home). Then we'll be waiting for our match. Keep praying! And of course if you know of anyone, let me know....our agency works around the country!

Glad the 1st meeting went great. I will be praying that the wait is a very short wait. Do you have to do a pictorial of your lives. We had to do one and I plan on using it to help us tell Alex that he is adopted.

Yes we have to do a picture book for our profile. I guess that part will come when we do the formal application. That's a great idea though!

Oh Ok Our case worker had told us close to the end So we had to hurry to get the book done and then we didn't even us it because we was the only family available to get him...
