and overall, I think it was good news. He was a bit suprised we had been on Clomid for 13 months at 200mg with no results. Basically he said since I had to have Provera monthly to have a period, that I wasn't ovulating...somehow that didn't sit right with me-I was thinking that you could ovulate without having a period...maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, he started me on a generic Metformin for 6 weeks and I will be doing a bunch of labs tomorrow to check insulin/thyroid levels etc. Anyway, hopefully this will be an answer...if not, I'm not sure what will be next-we're not ready to do IVF with me already having incompentent cervix. Also, I asked him about doing injectibles and he said he wasn't fond of that because the chance of multiples are REALLY high-anyone have any experience with this?

He is right about the period. Whenever I took clomid I had to take provera first unless AF came on her own which was once and poof I became pregnant.
Anyway, good luck and I hope you can get some answers and have that baby!!! |

Aw good luck I hope everything comes out the way you guys are looking for it. And as far as the increase in multiples... John & Kate, Raising multiples, Octomom... I think its a huge increase! But hey each one is a little blessing and I know you'd be a great mommy even if there were 6 of em!

Hey now, Jon and Kate got multiples with Clomid... oddly! LOL
That said, yes the chances of multiples with injectibles is MUCH higher. So I would be careful. And yes, AF is needed to ovulate. Ok, my brain isn't working.... so I gotta think.... Monica Wife to Eric (10/2004) Mommy to 4 wonderful, crazy kiddos!!!             |
