Hoping I could get some ideas from you all...

I am about a week late on my period. I normally have a 32-day cycle, which means I would have been due on 4/23. Well, still no period, although yesterday and today I have had some spotting. Very dark and minimal. I took a home pregnancy test a few days ago and it was definitely negative. Took one again this afternoon, and there seemed to be a faint second line, but I'm afraid I'm playing tricks on myself. I'm thinking go through the weekend and if still no menstrual cycle on Monday morning, take another test? What do ya'll think?

I'd give it a few more days and test again. However...as we always say around here...a line is a line...so as long as you didn't wait too long to read the test, if you saw two lines it sounds like you might be prego!

I just took a test this morning and I saw a faint line too. I'm definitely pg and I'm sure you are too. If you do take another test I suggest getting the ones that say "not pregnant" or "pregnant", I bought one again to make sure and it said "pregnant", no confusion there. It was Clear Blue. Good luck.

Def could be a POSITIVE. Test again in the morning and the next morning and the next morning.....oops that was me the freak. LOL

Anyway, test again and a line is a line. I got a BFP a week early and saw the faintest of lines. Here I am 32 weeks later soon to have another baby.

Welcome! I think that you should get a digital as well. I got one after i had a faint line just to make sure and sure enough it said pregnant. Good luck!

Thank you all for your advice and thoughts. I guess I initially thought that this light spotting I'm having could be implantation bleeding, but the more I read, I'm not so sure. Sounds like implantation bleeding would have happened earlier. Ugh, this waiting game is rough!!

I'm planning on taking another hpt tomorrow or Saturday AM. We'll see...

FYI, I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and have been spotting for about a week so don't think that just because you are spotting means that it's negative. I also suggest you get a digital test...I got tired of the "is there a line or isn't there??" game I played with myself so now it's a simple Pregnant or Not Pregnant...pretty clear.

I agree with what the others have told you. When we did a medicated cycle, I spotted as well and I was pregnant. It never picked up on the HPT until a week later. Unfortunately we lost the babies but I would have never known without the blood test. Good luck to you!

More than likely, it's positive - it's pretty rare to have a false-positive. However, I would do another one (and another, and another - we're weird like that) but first thing in the morning. Good luck!! Keep us posted.

Well, took another one this morning...I was going to try to make it through the weekend but I couldn't resist! And, I got the same faint positive line-though I think it was a bit darker than last time...

I think I'll make a doctor's appointment on Monday if this keeps up-and I'll be visiting the pharmacy for a digital test this weekend. Thanks for the input and I'll let you all know!!

I'd say it's a definite positive. We'll due around the same time.

If you got a faint line a SECOND time, I'd say it's definitely positive!! But scheduling an appointment with your doc couldn't hurt.

My first test I took was a very faint line and I tested a few days later and got a BFP. I would wait 2 days to give your body a chance to get those levels up and your line should be darker.

I'm feeling more sure that it's actually positive, but at the same time, it's hard for me to believe...can't wait to take another test on Monday and it'll be digital this time-no more messing around with those lines!

I gave in and did one of the digital hpts I bought today, even though I was going to wait until tomorrow morning....

It read PREGNANT!!! YAY!

Ok, now that I got that excitement out of the way...I'm going to try to relax and not get toooooo excited. It's still early and anything can happen....
