So as you can see from my ticker, we were unsucessfull again last month... Angry

I went to the gynae last week just to make double sure everything is OK. He says I'm in perfect condition and I shouldn't worry too much. But if nothing's happened by Jan next year, I should come back so that we can do some tests and maybe discuss clomid.

My question to you guys are... Have any of you heard of/used Vitex aka Vitex Angus Castus aka Bio Angus Castus aka Chaste Tree Berry, depending on where in the world you are. I've read up on it a lot and apparently it helps to regulate your cycles, helps mature you eggs, etc and in the reviews most ladies using it while TTC got a BFP within 6 months of using it.

Any comments would be helpful.

Yes I tried Vitex and got pregnant on my first cycle with it with this baby. With Troy it took us almost 8 months and we are very young and healthy and with this baby I got pregnant first shot with Vitex I believe in it and would strongly recommend it!

Lauren

I started using it on CD1 this month. The box cautions that pregnant woman shouldn't use it. Did you stop using it during the 2ww/after ovulation? Or did you continue using it until you got a BFP?

I'm using it because of the success rate, but I don't want to harm the baby (when I do get pregnant) by using it.

Please help!!

Just like you said, use it up until you ovulate then stay off for 2 weeks then if its not your month do it again when AF starts, it also is suppose to help with AF to make it more tolerable, less painful and shorter. Good luck, but yes, take it from when you start until you stop ovulating!

Lauren - just a quick question... I have a 26 day cycle. Will the Vitex correct it and make it the usual 28 day cycle or will I stay on 26 days?

I don't want to get all excited when AF doesn't start just to find out it was postponed LOL!!

To tell yall the truth I was using it to regulate my period first and planned to geet regular first then really start trying to get pregnant and using the VCF film its a form of contraceptive (sp) and actually got pregnant while using the VCF so it sure did work for me!

I recently took it for 3 months. It didn't do anything to my AF. My cycle stayed the same. My AF was lighter though. I am not on it now. I stopped TTC

I got screwed up with my MIL passing so i wont count this month unless i come up pregnant whic i think i just ovulated . I wish i could find a micro scope to see if Ted has swimmers Giggle He ha dthe mumps as a child and they can make them sterile so it may all be invane. Ive told him if nothing happens in the next 6 months hes getting checked. Or both of us!

You know they have this test that you can buy at a drug store to test semen to see if the count is normal or not, I made DH try it when we didn't get pregnant after 6 months.

http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/spermtest.html

its pretty cool, a little pricey but still under what you would pay at the doctors office!

And like I told ted i dont want to get my heart set on it happening and it be impossable. We wont do anything to help it persay since we are both 40 ish.

Hello ladies!!

This is now my 2nd cycle on the Vitex. Today I am on CD9 (AF started a day earlier than usual) and AF is still going strong!!

Don't know if this is maybe a side effect of the Vitex or if something else is up.

Any advice?
