Hey everyone! I am on here updating since I have been MIA for forever!
Kids are doing great! Morgan is just growing too dang fast. She is 9 & it is so hard for me to believe. Going to a private school she started 2.5 weeks earlier than everyone so she is already getting her progress reports and she has straight A's. Her lowest is in Language & surprisingly her highest is in Math & they are even doing fractions! *gasp* She doesn't get her math from me...all her daddy. I stink at math!
She is in theatre productions through a local academy here. This summer she was in Alice in Wonderland and LOVED IT! I was really worried she would get stage fright or be too shy. Nope, she really enjoyed it. It was very hard work & took a lot of time but she didn't care. SOOOOO, they are putting on another production for Christmas called "SCROOGED". She had been asking me to try out. I prepared her for not getting a part because kids need to know that sometimes, you just don't make it. It is part of life. They had to have a song to sing acapella for the judges to try out. She practiced & practiced. Well, she ended up getting a part & was ecstatic. So she is rehearsing every Tuesday & Sunday. I told her as long as it doesn't interfere with her schoolwork she is good. BUT, if I notice her grades slipping. Sorry Charlie....I think she will do fine though. The production is in December obviously.
She is still in Girl Scouts and Volleyball too. Luckily those aren't too demanding. She is maturing & it is obvious because her behavior is improving all around. She is in trouble less & less the older she gets *thank GOD*
I have already had the female talk with her about starting her period...**gasp** She wasn't too impressed that girls have stuff happen to them & boys don't. We have lightly touched on the subject of sex but I know we are really going to have to get into that soon. I am just a basket case about it. Honestly I would love to put it off & off & off & off & off and forget all about it. BUT...with the way things are nowadays & the way it is smothered all over TV...I know it is inevitible! Anyhow, I just wanted to update!
