This may sound silly, but I don't know anyone who has ever had a c-section and I need to know this because my chances of a section are getting higher by the day...

If you have a c-section do you still bleed from your vagigi? If so is it like TONS like after a vaginal delviery or just like a period. How long does it last? What type of pads should I take to the hospital with me. I got Always super long over night with wings... Should that cover it? Giggle Thanks!!

Lol I didn't even think about it when i had mine, i found out a week before my c-section that nicholas was breech so i was completely unprepared for that lol, i still bled and A LOT, it lasted about 8 weeks, though after the first week it went down to like a constant period blah lol, i hated that part! And I will warn you, i only wear bikini underwear which DO NOT work with the bikini incision for the c-section, i had to wear the hospital underwear out cuz i couldn't handle the bikini underwear i sent my husband the next day to go buy me new panties lol, i just wear the super always pads the first week then was able to buy regular thins

Girrrrrl you need the big girl panties cause you dont want anything close to the incision LOL. And the pads they give you at hospital work the best. I remember them cleaning me for the first two days and you really dont care at that point cause your drugged up lol.

Yea they had to change mine for the first 24 hours, i had him at 9:30 that morning and it was about that time the next morning before they took the catheter out and then i handle it all lol, but I went home the next day, like i had him wednesday morning, thursday morning they took the catheter out and friday morning i left b/c i was doing so well with being up and moving and all, they said i was going to have to say saturday until they saw me being active.

I had to get the high ones, it's like the granny panties lol, the incision is very very low so none of the other ones work. but that said it after about a month i was able to wear the bikini underwear, the low rise ones as long as they weren't too tight

The undies that they give you are the best because they are super stretchy. The only purpose they serve is to hold the pad in place. If you have any old stretched out ones that you wouldn't mind sacraficing bring those too because the first hospital didn't give me any undies. I used the same pads you picked.

See, when I had mine I thought I would bleed a lot, but I didn't. Is it possible that the doctor "cleaned" me out? It wasn't real heavy or anything, but I did use the pads from the hospital.

I didn't bleed for very long after my section, they kinda clean some of it out I think... But you will still need good absorbent pads.

I wore the icky hospital undies for a while, they gave me a couple pairs and I just washed them and reused them... Bikini undies woulda been wayyyy painful!

Having had both a c-section and a natural birth,
I would definitely say the bleeding is less with the c-section... but you will still bleed a fair bit!

I've had 3 sections and the first one I bled like a normal period, second one I bled a little heavier for about a week and 3rd one I bled extremely heavily for about a week.

I definitely wore maternity underwear because the ones that were close to the staples hurt baaaad. The last two sections they sent me home with staples and I had to have them removed a week later, but the first one I had them removed while in the hospital.
