I've had Braxton Hicks with all of my pregnancies, but never had "real" ones. They were always inconsistent and I would feel pain, but still be able to function through them.
Saturday night was a different story. The contractions were coming with waves of nausea. I couldn't even move without throwing up. The pain was so intense, all I could do was whine through them They were still inconsistent, so I knew I couldn't do much but try to time them and call when they became regular. The nausea was so bad, I told my husband to go get the phenergan out of the medicine cabinet and look up what the dosage would be for me.
I was kind of hoping you guys could tell me what real contractions felt like. I know it's hard to describe. I've had 3 c-sections and this will be my 4th, so I've never been in labor.
Well I never understood real contractions either. I only went into labor twice out of my 4 pregnacies. But what I did experience was like having mild cramps like a period. I knew I was in labor with Kaitlyn the night before she was born.

I had false contractions or BX and sometimes they were intense but they will go away if you drink about two glasses of water and lay on your side. After about an hour if they dont stop then I would just call. My DR said 8 in one min then he was worried.
my dr. hooked me up to a machine and said i was having them in office but i seriously felt nothing but my tummy getting hard, so those were extremely minor, i was always told that I'd know when i was having them, that doesn't help me know what they feel like though lol, i had a planned c-section wtih nicholas b/c of him being breech so i didn't have any "real" contractions
