My kids have family names for their middle name and I really want to keep it going with this little girl. Both of my Grandma's are living and I would love to dedicate this middle name to the one who is dying. Although, this may hurt my other Grandma's feelings because I am SO much closer to her (i.e. we talk at least twice a week on the phone where as I talk to the other one once every other month or so) So would it be so bad to have two middle names?
Here is what I have to work with....
My daughter's name will be: Elizabeth My dying (sounds awful i know ) grandmother's name is: Amelia (no middle name) My other grandmother's name is Peggy Joyce
So I'm thinking:
Elizabeth Amelia Joyce Morgan
Is that too much? Can anyone else think of how I can solve this problem?
I know a few people who have done that actually. Two of them hyphenated the middle name.I think it sounds fine together. How often do you use your middle name anyway. And it has special meaning to you!
Her name is actually Peggy, so I definitely want to use her middle name. Which i do really like! Has Joy in the middle which is sort of Christmas-y too
I was even going to suggest using Joy if you think it was too long..
like Elizabeth Amelia-Joy
First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

I think it is fine.. Alex has 2 middle names since he is adopted and since his birth name is a combonation of his birth parents. Alexander Javon Kellen

I think its cute but you could mix it up too and combine them lke my friend did with her DD. Something like Joyelia (joy-ella) something different to mix it up would be fun too.
Or do like my sister did and give the name of one and "nickname" for the other one. Her name is Grace but we call her "Vi"
