We've been tossing around a few names, but with no real preference and waiting to see this boy's face to make our decision. Well, for weeks now, we've been asking Anne if she liked some of the names and she'll repeat them, but if we ask her straight what's the 'real' name of her baby brother (we usually call him "Baby Belly") she'll say "François" (Frahn-s-wah)! Which was NOT on our list, but we like it... Then we figured we'd avoid the subject to be able to pick his name when he was born, but yesterday she was on her swingset and asked me, totally out of the blue and very clearly, "I would like "Baby Belly" to be called "François", please!" It was so cute and sincere! I guess we don't have much choice now...

Frank isn't French, but here it's "cool" and common to have English nicknames so it'll probably be one of his nicknames at some point for sure... My husband is Benoit, but he's often called Ben, and a lot of people go by initials and pronounce them in English (JP, JF, ...) That's how it works in my bilingual world.

His middle name will definitely be Erick after his godfather. So I think it will work out!
