My boss was diagnosed with lung cancer about a 1 1/2 yrs ago. When he was diagnosed, it was in one lung and in his hip. He took chemo and radiation but it advanced to his other lung and into his pelvic bone. They discontinued his chemo treatments, since they weren't doing anything, and told him they could send in Hospice when he needed them. That was about 3 or 4 months ago. He's going downhill fast, now. He's started taking morphine regularly. I overheard his daughter (who's been pretty much running the store since he can't) talking to her sister and she said she'd be surprised if he made it through the weekend. He's 75 (I think, maybe 76), and is like a grandfather to all of us at the store. I can't stand to think of him being in pain, and I know that his passing is upon us, but please pray for him and his family.

I will say a prayer that he finds peace and doesnt suffer too much longer.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts & prayers. My boss passed away this morning. He was ready to go and went peacefully at home with his family. I know that God has given them comfort, knowing he is in a better place now and isn't suffering any more.
