My cousin's wife went in for a C-section this morning at 7 and Noah was born at 7:45, but as soon as they pulled him out they rushed out with him. I don't know any details other than there's not enough oxygen in his blood <?> and they had him hooked up to IVs within the hour, and now my Aunt just called and said they're flying him to either UNMC or Children's in Omaha. Please say a quick prayer for him and the family; his Mama hasn't even gotten to see him yet

I heard from my Aunt last night. The doctor at Children's thinks that Noah has pneumonia - how in the heck are you born with pneumonia??? I've never even heard of such a thing, didnt even know it was possible! Anyways, they've got him on oxygen and a feeding tube, and said that he's working so hard to breathe right now that it's an absolute possibility that he could be put on a respirator so he doesn't have to work so hard. The first 48 hours are going to be the most critical, and they said that he's going to get worse before he starts to get better. They're also going to do a CT scan to make sure his brain is okay, but they want to get his respiratory system straightened out first. I can't imagine what his Mama is going through, though, becuase she won't even be released from the hospital in Columbus until Saturday and her baby's in a hospital two hours away. Thanks for all of the prayers - know that they're greatly appreciated!!!

Well the MRI came back and it was good, nothing wrong so that is great news!!!! They took him off of oxygen and also out of the incubator and put him in a crib. He also got to eat for the very first time today. So things are looking up!!!!! He though does still have his IV's in, and still has the antibiotics going in him for his lungs. Hopefully he'll be coming home soon!!!! Teri
Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers - prayers are amazing things and they work wonders in numbers!

First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer
