i am and i love it!! but its a LOT of work dont let anyone fool you by them saying that being a sahm is easy cause its NOT!!! its the hardest most time consuming stressful job i have ever had....i sometimes think about getting a job outside the home just to get OUT of the house!!!

it is the most rewarding job though!!

I am but I'll be going back to school on campus this summer so i won't technically be any more, honestly, i've loved being at home with him but it isn't for me or him, he loves to go play with other kids and he needs a break from me just as much as i need a break from him sometimes. My husband didn't adjust to it well either, he decided since i was home all day just watching Nicholas that I could basically be the maid and do everything for him when he walks in the door, which i don't mind to an extent but it's not my job to go pick up clothes that are left all over the house cuz a grown man is too lazy to put the in the laundry basket, just stuff like that, he has adapted better but it's a working progress lol. I get irritated cuz he goes to work, clocks in adn clocks out and he's done, as a sahm mom you're on duty 24 hours a day and it sucks sometimes some ppl. absolutely love it and then some ppl. just don't enjoy it, I feel very fortunate to have been able to be at home with him but I really miss working and I'm ready to go back, I just need to finish school first now.

I've stayed home since May 2007. It was too difficult to work and take care of my husband, 3 sons and mother with Alzheimers.

I find myself busier than I was working and taking care of my family. I like being home especially with all the emergencies that can pop up with kids being sick or recently my 9 year old son, Jimmy, falling at school and needing stitches. It would've been difficult to handle that situation while being at work.

Just keep to your schedule for the day. I bought a planner to keep organized. Also, don't worry if things pop up and you cannot get done what you planned. That was a big adjustment for me.

We were worried about our finances but we made changes in our spending habits and we've been surviving just fine.

I am currently taking a course in Medical Transcription so I could continue to stay home and work from home. Sean will start kindergarten in August so I'll be able to work from home.

It's great you will be staying home. I wish you the best!

I agree with Kristy...............I've been a Stay at Home Mom for about a Yr and a half now

When I first saw you, I was afraid to talk to you.
When I first talked to you, I was afraid to like you.
Now that I Love you, I'm afraid to lose you.

I am too and I have been a sahm since March 2007. I had to stop working ever since I got pregnant with Sophia. Plus dh and I have decided that one parent should stay with the kids until they are ready to go to school. And since he earns more than I do, I gave in and enjoy it! Though Kristy is right, its not fun all the time, the most stressful job I have done so far but also the most rewarding! Long live the SAHMs!!! Giggle

Thats what we kinda think too, that one parent should stay home, he loves his job so he stayed on and I came home! I really like it so far it is really really rewarding, although it is really stressful at times and I dont think it the mommy part its the accountant and money handler/ bill payer part. It sucks being in charge of all of the stressful ****!

I am. But I am still adjusting to the change. Up until just a few months ago, I had worked for the last 4 years. So its still taking me a bit of time to get used to it.

I am, have been every since Avery was 5 months old, and she just turned 5 today.
The hubby seems to think I need to go to work, since she is starting to school this year, but I really dont want too.

Sarah, it took me a while to adjust to it too. I had worked for like 18 years straight, full time, 40 plus hours a week, up until that point. Youll adjust.

I am a SAHM though I do babysit in my home for one little girl. I have been at home since Erynn was a baby. I worked for a little while after I had her but took her with me then just started staying home. I love it, being a mom is hard work and I enjoy being home to help with homework or whatever, and going on field trips or to class parties at school. I love being able to be home so I can keep up with house work too. but yes, its very trying at times. I feel I have lost my own identity now and everything revolves around my kids but I dont know that I would ever want it any other way.

I am a SAHM but baby-sit from my home.I was always a SAHM since I was married at age 17 and we had our first child when I was 18. I started helping my mom baby-sit a little over 2 years ago at her house about the time when our youngest,Chasity started school.I am glad to be at my own house babysitting now as it is so much easier.

I have been a work at home mom since tyler was born (almost 8 years now). besides keeping up with the housekeeping and laundry and errands and getting kids ready for school/camp, etc...I also have an actual job i do at home (medical transcription). it takes discipline and a routine in order to actually get your stuff done every day. I wouldn't change it for anything...but you do need to get out in the "real world" with adults so you don't go crazy! LOL

I am a SHAM. I have been since Matt was born in 2001. It was hard at first to adjust to just one income. But we have made it work.

I'm a sahm too and have been since about March this year. It wasn't too hard of a switch since I was down to just one day every two weeks. To me, it's been an adjustment to being home with the kids day in and day out plus all the household duties too. I do love it though, but sometimes wish I could just get out of here like hubby does.

Parents join our team on a mission to stay home with our kids and make money. I finally found one that's not a get rich quick scam. I am loving it.Just do it. If I can you can. I have tried so many things out there and found one with a real opportunity for us stay at homers.... Don't fall for the scams join a team with great support, opportunity and it is a lot of fun. Do this in your spare time with your baby right there, it is the bestDon't stock, deliver or sell products don't chase your friends and family around when you don't have to. Use your computer and talk to other moms who want to do the same. The effort put in ='s the results you get out. I would love to share this opportunity and help you stop getting scammed!
