Do you think they are really healthy? i am trying to get not only Jeff's weight down but also his cholesterol down including his triglycerides and get his good cholersterol up and the dr. said yo avoid carbs (bread and pasta) so i tried but the lean pockets were on sale and so i bought the "meals" things and and the lean pockets and the flat bread kind.
but do you think it is going to help? he says he feels stronger then ever but he just isn't getting thinner and I am praying his cholesterol is lower in 2 weeks when we go back to the doctor. i am trying despratley to change his eating habits and make him healthier but it is so hard when he was taught so many bad habits for such a long time, His parents were big about eating EVERYTHING you put on your plate and he belives in it still and don't even get me started on Heather she let him whatever he wanted as much as he wanted. Thats how he got in this mess in the first place. anyways if any of you have any help or suggestions i will be more then thankful! |

They are healthier than regular hot pockets....and usually lower in fat and calories....but if he eats say 3 in a setting it's not going to make him loose weight.
Honestly portion control and just eating things like that in moderation are usually key in loosing weight. Also his cholesterol will probably not lower very much in 2 weeks....our docs usually use 6-8 weeks as the guideline.... cheerios or oatmeal in the mornings usually get people better results in lowering their cholesterol. I'm a firm believer you should not eat everything on your plate, just because it's on your plate....I think that's a big factor that starts over eating...instead I prefer to put smaller portions on plates...and you can always go back for seconds. First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer |

In every "health" food there is something bad. If he's eating them 3 times a day only, of course they aren't going to help, but I don't see how they could hurt for lunches. A major life change/eating habit change is a big deal and takes time. Why don't you go with him to a nutritionist- she or he can help him get on a diet/eating plan geared toward his body type and designed for him.
