I just couldn't let the good spiral slice baked ham go to waste so I made this up. Even dh liked it and he isn't much for casseroles.
2 cups of cubed ham cooked noodles (egg noodles or shells) 1 can of cream of celery, chicken or mushroom (whatever you have on hand) 1 can of chicken broth steamed broccoli cook noodles and steam broccoli. Drain noodles. Warm soup, chicken broth (I added a little at a time - use enough for the amount of noodles that you cook), and ham. Add the noodles back to the soup mixture and toss. Here I added spices for flavor. I used Morton's season salt but anything you like would work. Add the steamed Broccoli and lightly toss. The more you stir once the broccoli is added the more it will fall apart. I topped it with fresh grated parmesan cheese. It was very simple to make and used things that I already had on hand. I am sure it would work well with left over chicken as well. |
