Are you being a little more carefully this flu season? I've been trying to take Ryan out as much as possible before I have the baby, but I'm also trying to limit it to and use a lot of hand sanitizer and cover the carts when we go out shopping. How 'bout you?

I am pretty cautious every flu season, but yeah I'm even more so with this H1N1 thing. I try not to take the girls out in public too much, if I do I have hand sanitizer ready to wipe down hands and the shopping cart. I've taught Ariel to wash her hands and/ or use her germ x at school, not to put her hands up to her face, to cough and sneeze into her arm, etc. So yeah we're more careful this year for sure. None of us have been vaccinated (I'm still debating this one).

Yep, every time we leave a public place I load my kids hands up with sanitizer. I have pushed the whole not putting their hands in their mouth and covering their cough and sneezes. I am a germaphobe on a normal day anyway but this is just making me much more careful. Our town has been hit SUPER hard already, to the point where they were discussing closing the schools but we were so close to fall break so they pushed it and were able to stay open until break which has been this week. Hopefully they get the schools cleaned real good and all the sickies have run their course while the kids have been home. I have been reading EVERY day about a new kid around here getting sick with it. Several have been hospitalized too.

I may be a tad more cautious then i usually am but not really, we are still going to go out and do what we need to do, the only difference is if he is sick i'll take him to the dr. faster than i would during normal times, i have hand sanitizer in his bag but unless he is around someone yucky or gets into something yucky i don't use it, i rarely take him shopping with me anymore i usually do that right before i pick him up from daycare.

I am always aware that is flu season but all you can do is make sure to wash hands and use sanitizer. I carry a small travel can of Lysol in my purse and spray stuff down. I acutlly sprayed my cart down after I used it too and a lady came running to see if she could have it since it was cleaned.

That is what Wal-mart should invent is a steam bath for the carts as they come in from outside. Just run them through a corral room of hot steam and then have a dryer on the outside lke a carwash. They could help kill millions of germs

Yeah, I try to make sure dh washes his hands when he comes home before touching us. The flu is going around at his workplace. I should also tell my aunt to also 'cause she works at a school. Would it be rude of me to ask anyone else to wash their hands when coming to our home?

Not rude at all.... responsible!

I always make sure everyone that comes through the door washes their hands after being out. You just never know what you're bringing home!

We do have a grovery store that has a cart coral I think its called and they push them through and it cleans them.

Ive been hearing to teach the kids to not touch their face AT ALL. As any germs can get into thier nose etc. Wipe their faces as often as your wash hands.Have them blow thier noses several times a day and drink warm liquids several times a day. It washes the germs in your mouth and throat to your stomach where they can withstand the acid.

No, I'm not doing anything special with the kids. At school we've been told to have the kids use hand sanitizer more often, they even installed dispensers all over the school. I also wipe my table down with Lysol wipes after each group. It was interesting at church last week, using hand sanitizer has become part of the communion routine.

I'm not really doing anything differently that I normally do at home...we already cover our mouths, wash our hands, and stuff like that...

At work I am a little bit more, but not so much for me...it's more for my other patients that could be high risk...if I get a patient that has H1N1 or strep or even just a fever I'll wipe my desk and the patients chair down and back track their route in the office....and also anyone with a fever we are asking to wear a mask...if they refuse then their doctor has a little talk with them.

First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer
