CHelle...the Dark Hunter series whips arse. It is action/vampire & ROMANCE all balled up into this kick butt book series. I think if you love the action/romace that I would recommend them. They are the Dark Hunter books by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Romance & action all balled up into a great series!

Oh w*o*w I NEVER took New Moon to be like that!!!! I totally felt Bella's pain and didnt look at her as being a teenager hurting herself. The reason she acted reckless is because she got a few seconds of relief from the mental anguish of missing Edward. If you have ever lost someone you loved with all your heart then you know the pain- I have so I could totally relate. I would have done the same thing if I figured out I could hear him.
But when I read a book I dont just read it. I am IN it. I have a vivid imagination and love reading because I actually go there in my mind. I tune everything else out and my house could probably burn around me.... Its almost like being hypnotized??
And now I am done with book 2 in the Fever Series and I am sending daggers to Misty for even introducing me to them. I have one more book to read (when it comes in the mail) and then I have to wait til AUGUST??!! Seriously, that is just CRUELTY.
Yes, they are that good.....

And Misty...they are 'nice' daggers I am shooting at you. The fake rubber Halloween ones that wont really hurt you. Thank you for introducing me to Mac. She ROCKS. And V'lane it would have SOOOOOOOO been my demise meeting him.... And Barrens I am still wondering why she didnt just DO IT in that cave when they were 'fighting'!! OMG what a turn on. Totally my style.

I agree with you Chelle, I could relate to what she was going through so I almost felt was she was feeling. I didn't think she came off as whiney and I originally expected it to be whiney since it's supposed to be a teenage series but I was very surprised. New Moon was a bit harder for me to read just because I almost wanted to race through it in hopes Edward would be back. I really did not like Jacob and he really annoys me so I didn't enjoy the Jacob parts much at all.
Shannon that is totally how I felt when she would have flashbacks..I would just get this sense of relief for her. I can so vividly remember how that heart ache felt when she describes it..
I'm at the beginning of Midnight Sun right now, and I have to say I really like Edwards perspective too...I mean it follows the same plot as Twilight, but it's like a totally different book too...I think I like it because know that I know what Bella was feeling in the first book...it's also telling me what was going on in him as well...it just strengthens their bond in my mind.
First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

Yeah Danni, there are a ton of books in the Dark Hunter series...which is why I love it. They all tie in with one another. Chelle...please let me know if you get one & read it! I would recommend going in order. I can't remember what the first one is...Julian's story. Loved it.
Shannon *blows kisses* heee heee, I KNEW how addicted you would be...I wish I had overnighted that book now. Mac Rocks. Savage Mac. Faefever was my favorite of the 3. I am getting ready to start a new author tonight since I haven't gone to get my next Dark Hunter book. Her name is Kim Harrison...I will let you know what I think.

Going into New Moon not liking Bella and expecting more whining, it was a slow start for me. I think the book is getting better, though I am not sure I like the Jake character.
I know someone who loves the Dark Hunter series. I may give them a try next. I still have a racy romance novel waiting for me too.

I bought Night Pleasures today thinking it was the first in the Dark Hunter series, but I just found a list of the first 13 books on Amazon. I think I may hold off on this series until after I read the Highlander series.
Have any of you read the Elemental Witch series by Anya Bast? There are 3, Witch Fire, Witch Blood, and Witch Heart. I bought the first one tonight also. I also think her book, The Chosen Sin looks really good.
I want to read The Host, but like many of you I am considering putting some time and several books inbetween the Twilight series and that so I don't set myself up for dissapointment.
