Shannon, start the fever series NOW...drop every single thing you are doing & read them! Beware though...the 3rd one leaves you hanging BIG time & the 4th one won't be out until August 09...so you will have to read them over & over & over & over & over like I do...it will make you crazy...good crazy though.

I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series tonight. I only read the first 5 pages or so, and I purposly left it in the car since I've been up for 27 hours and it will give me something to read while the kiddos are napping tomorrow! If I like it I'm going to buy the whole set from Barnes and Nobles tomorrow.

Ok, I made it through chapter 1 *sneaking* of Darkfever. I even got yelled at a few times by my husband that we have company and 'I am being rude reading'. Whatever, its my PARENTS and siblings for petes sake!!
So chapter one has drug me into wanting to crawl in a deep dark hole and read read read. First because the author is excellent and leaving you wanting more, and because this girl is heading to Ireland....and I am in LOVE with Ireland!!!
Melody, if this makes you want to read again then that would be awesome. Just have to read the right books. Like I said before, nothing like a bad writer or a horribly boring topic to make me want to stop reading altogether.

Oh Shannon.....you have noooooooooo idea how awesome these books are! I am so excited about this...you have no clue what you have gotten yourself in to ...I bet you $500 that you don't get much sleep tonight!

Your right about the hardly any sleep part. Delaney was not feeling well and I rocked her ALOT. But didnt get too far in the reading. I think I am only on chapter 4. But...I am heading out to work now so I will call you with the details of what I have read so far.

And for anyone who is interested...so far this book is REALLY good so if you get a chance to get it I would recommend doing so.

I'm on page 56 of Dead Until Dark and just can't seem to get that into it. I'm going to keep reading though and see if it captures my attention.

Danni- The Fever Series is better than Sookie Stackhouse in my opinion...although I am still going to read the rest of the Sookie series.

Misty- OMG seeing a picture makes it worse!!!!!!!!! Awwwwww.....my poor husband is going to get pounced on when he gets home.

Shannon- thanks! Who is the author of that series? I am going tomorrow to Barnes and Nobles to return Dead Until Dark and I may buy some in that series instead.

Danni...I loved Sookie but not really "LOVED" does that make sense? You really should give it a shot but honestly...the Fever Series blows her out of the water in my opinion. Now...with that being said I feel I should warn you. I warned Shannon but she is a machine & can't be stopped ...there are currently only 3 books in the series...the author is finishing up the 4th & 5th. The 4th won't be out until August. That is 8 ENTIRE months of waiting!

NOW...I have read & read & read & read them & that helps me deal with it a bit but honestly...it is like reading Twilight & not being able to finish the series...remember how hard it was to put the dang books down...well the Fever Series is like that to me but on a different level.

Anyhow, Look into it....the author Karen Moning is a wonderful writer. She also writes the HIGLANDER series & every single one of those books is awesome!

I finished the first book last night at 11:30...and was like 'wait a minute...what about finishing the job?' Then I realized YAY I have 2 more to read!!! I love it when there is a series. But a bit worried that I am going to be really irritated with Misty for introducing me to a series that doesnt have the last two books done yet.
But my plan is to read the Highlander series in between....and school starts for me on January 12th so I think I should be plenty occupied.

Melody- maybe I SHOULD get a pill for this, it is such an addiction. Check out the pic I posted in Mailbox under the Twilight post.....I get realllllyyyy bad when I read.

Sacrifices by Enthralled. This one is my absolute favorite. This is as if Bella never jumped off the cliff in New Moon. It started my fanfic addiction.
Moonless Night by J Plash . This is New Moon from Edwards POV. It's awesome but not complete so waiting for updates can get annoying.

These are called "alternate universe" meaning same characters but different story line.
Wide Awake by AngstGoddess003. This one is Bella and Edward but without the vampire aspect. Super addicting.

This is Bella and Edward but Bella was a vampire first and she met Edward as a human. Very, very good but this Bella is very different from Stephanie Meyer's Bella IMO.

Oh and some of these are a little more "mature" than the PG 13 Twilight so I wouldn't recommend them to your teens and if they do read fanfiction, make sure you check it because tons of them are very very adult.

I bought the first 2 books in the Fever series today, no where has the 3rd! I'll keep looking!
