I am a HUGE James Patterson fan and his books are so so good.
If you have watched Kiss the girls and along came a spider and liked those flicks, you will love his books.

And you have to read Where the wind blows and the Lake house. Just read them.

So by my calculations it took me 8 hours in total to read twilight. LOL I started at midnight last night and read until 3:30 then read a bit this afternoon and then another 3 hours this evening to finish it. What an awesome book!!

Laugh Cry TOTALLY HOW I WAS.

I swear, I honestly finished the entire series in record time. I couldn't put them down. Amazingly my kids got fed & clothed & my house didn't burn down. The TWILIGHT series was the most addicting book series! If you love this A...you will LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the FEVER series by Karen Marie Moning.

I can't wait to hear what you think of the next book in the series...I think it is New Moon or Breaking Dawn..I can't remember.

Breezy- the book is about two sisters. One has cancer and the other donates bone marrow, blood, whatever is needed to keep her sister alive. It is excellent.

Misty,

My husband was so ticked off at me because I read all 4 books in the Twilight series in like 4 1/2 days. I dont know how my kids even got fed, I walked around doing things while reading and hardly slept!! VERY addicting. I need to get the Fever series too....

~Also, If anyone wants to borrow any of the Twilight books I have them....but will want them back after you read them because I think I will read them again and again!

Shannon...my best friends husband called me all pissy because I loaned her my Twilight books & she supposedly wasn't taking care of their 3 kids.

Translation...he was actually having to help & was upset about it!

Anyhow, I LOVED those books, I have re-read them.

NOW..the FEVER series..I have re-read the 3 of them too many times to count. I love books that are informative as well as telling a very interesting story. This series has the following:

    Hot Guys
TONS & TONS of history & information
    Exciting story line
    Hot Guys
    A kick butt girl
Romance but not a steamy romance novel
    and Hot Guys

LMAO...OK...so they are HOT in my mind...I am sure they will be in your mind too!

**you know...if someone would have told me last year that one day I would get all excited over reading books, I would have called them a liar!!! I am totally addicted now!

April- not a problem just holler when your done with the ones your reading now...I have all 4.

Misty- Ok I can see your friend being enthralled with the books and not taking care of the kids. But when there are two parents in the household the kids should be taken care of even if she drops the ball for a few days. If I took care of the kids as much as my husband does....or even less...everyone would starve, bathing would be a thing they hear about on TV, and the house would be so disgusting everyone would die of e-coli.

Granted my husband does help out when asked, or prodded...but he was feeling the pressure from my reading obsession as well. He just knows better than to say anything. I think I have earned the right to 'check out' once in a while.

I would love to read the Fever series and I am so pumped that there is a book club on here now. Nothing puts out my reading fire like reading a book that sucks. Its like watching a bad movie at the theatre and regretting wasting the time and money to watch it. I drive alot for work and am thinking of getting some audioCD's too....that way I get more reading done.

I started My Sister's Keeper last night! So far it is very good! I am less then 100 pages into it but it has definitely caught my interest!

Misty,
I think my hubby is happy that I don't have the rest of the twilight series yet! He could not believe how quickly I read it and totally ignored everything else going on. Ryan was sitting beside me at one point saying mommy, mommmy, mommy and I just kept reading until he waved his hand in front of my face and said you know Ryan is talking to you?? Laugh Cry Boy is he going to be ticked after Christmas when I get the rest of the series and ignore them all for 3 days straight!! I can tell that it is definitely a series that I would read over and over again.

I am on the 3rd Twilight book right now, Eclipse. I am only a few chapters into it but so far its pretty good. I am going to be so sad when I am done with the series, cause I really enjoy reading them!! Thats how I was when I finished the last Harry Potter book, I was sad cause I knew there wouldn't be any more to look forward to.

Sarahbeth, I felt the same way...that I was going to be heart broken when the Twilight series ended. And I was bummed. But not as bad as I thought I would be. They ended it well, with closure so I was ok with it. However, I wouldnt be bummed out if she kept writing and adding onto the series.

Has anyone read her other book The Host yet?

Sure Shannon I'll take it......

First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

Naw, if you saw the movie your pretty much up to speed IMO. I read the first book after watching the movie and thought I should have just started with the second one... Let me know what you want to do.

What movie?? Are you sure I'm the one that posted something about a movie?? Is that why you asked...maybe you meant to ask someone else! lol

And I bit, I bought TWILIGHT!!! Actually my friend Karen told me I had to buy the book because a bunch of our friends are going to see the movie on Jan 2nd....and I was told I was going...

I have so much to do today, but in the house I've been home I've already read 50 pages....while I put the groceries away....I'm totally not into a whole vampire thing...it's just not my thing, but I can't put it down...I had to go hide it so I can get ready for tonight! lol

No what I meant was if you have seen the movie Twilight you could start on the other books without reading the book first. I suppose I didnt clearly write that. See what I get for multitasking!!! Mass confusion.

I finished My sister's keeper. I like it well enough but it was not a great book in my opinion. The ending was far too predictable. But it was still a good book.

As for Twilight, anyone who has seen the movie, I wouldn't recommend skipping the first book and moving into the second. The book has so much more detail in it that allows you to understand more. When they take a big book like that and squish it into a 2 hour movie you lose a whole lot of information, character background etc. You don't learn anything about the vampires backgrounds and how they came to be, other then Edward, from the movie alone whereas the book does explain all that.

Adrienne- you felt that 'My sisters keeper' was predictable?? Girl you must be way more intuitive than me!! I was totally caught off guard by the ending. But you know...when you compare that book to the Twilight series it does pale in comparison.

And I guess you are right about skipping the first book. I need to go watch the movie again. I watched the movie, then read the book and I vaguely remember the movie now that I read the whole series. So I recant my statement about it being ok to skip the book...the character backgrounds is VERY important. DOnt listen to me... Giggle
