So far, I have nearly $800 showing in medical bills. My portion is only $285. $250 of that is my deductible for the year. Granted, the major hospital bill isn't showing yet, but the little stuff tends to add up quickly. Thank goodness for insurance. Right now, I am really glad I work for the state. Also, I found out that since DH and I are still legally married, he is responsible for half the bill as well. We are separated, but the divorce isn't final yet.

That's great they are paying most of it, even better your hubby's responsible for half of it.

That's great that it isn't that high, dh was in the hospital recently and we haven't gotten that bill and he didn't have insurance so i'm dreading it!! That's awesome for u that your dh is responsible but that's crazy since you'll are separated
