I read about this tip early this spring and have been using is since. And it works. When you bring tomatoes home from the store place them in a bowl, stem side down. Where the stem was removed is where all the moisture escapes and the decay process begins. Just by placing it stem down it slows this process keeping your tomatoes fresh for a week or more. REALLY!!

I will definitely try ths! We toss more tomatoes than anything else..
