I am trying to get my house looking better. I slacked long enough, LOL I have blue checkered wall paper that needs removing from my kitchen, but can't decide on a color.

Mine is Hunter Green under the chair rail and white on top.........though we are in the process of picking out new counter tops and cabinets....I've got the tile for my backsplash...so I think once we get all that done...I'm painting it a yellow tone...not sure which yet...
First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

We're in army housing so we can't paint but it's a new house so the kitchen is actually nice The walls and tiles are white, the cabinets are a medium wood color. The countertops are dark grey. Most of my decor is French country so dark cranberry red, muted yellow and sage green.
Right now it's the same old boring eggshell color it was painted when we moved in. When i do get around to painting, I think I want to do a deep red, I've got lots of primitive antiques in there, .

You know how some kitchens have that space above the top cabinets where you can put greenery or whatever? Well mine is enclosed (soffit) so I considered painting the walls one color and the soffit another. I just can't decide. I was thinking of going with yellow tones, or something to brighten it up. My house always seems to dark.
The cabinets are dark (though I hope to lighten them up some) have the neutral color ceramic tile on the floor and white tiled backsplash.

i honestly would have to look, i haven't been there in so long but i think my walls are a pale whitish color like white-yellow, and the counters and all are grayish marble looking
Pretty much every room in my house is a different color scheme. The kitchen has a wide stripe of red at top, a wide stripe of white just below that and then it's blue with a white wood from there down. It's not very bright - it's like the red, white and blue on Lorna's sig icon.

I was thinking of not only painting the soffit a different color but adding a saying up there. These are the things I think of in the middle of night when I have insomnia, LOL

My kitchen is mostly blue and beige. I would like to change it to a brick red eventually. After we redo the roof in the spring, the kitchen is our next project.

The kitchen is mostly cabinets and backsplash so painting will be easy enough. I tend to change my mind on colors easy though. But I don't want another neutral.
