Well, I've been a little worried about this for a while... Lily can only roll back to front in one direction (to the right) and she doesn't seem to be able to roll front to back purposely. She has been rolling for a couple months now, and she;s really good at it - but only in the one direction!! I don't remember how old Rayna was when she was rolling but I do remember she rolled back to front first as well, and it didn't take her long to figure out how to roll front to back after that.

Lily gets plenty of tummy time, she's happy to hang out like that for 15-20 minutes at a time usually... But she has only rolled onto her back accidentally as far as I've seen.

I meant to bring it up at her 6 month shots but forgot as I had a couple of other questions.

Does it sound like she's behind? Her other motor skills seem to be right on track, she's very good at gripping things and bringing them to her mouth, she seems otherwise quite coordinated. She's not sitting up on her own yet but she will sit unassisted for a few seconds until she topples over trying to reach for something or turn her head. As far as I know that's pretty normal at this stage.

Thoughts? Should I be getting her to the Dr?

If you are worried and it was me i'd make an appt. just to make sure, But all kids get those milestones at different times so I wouldn't worry too much if it's just the rolling

I would just put a call in or see how she does for another month. Tyler was like "learing" one day and overnight "doing" he sits up but just screams for toys to be given to him because if he moves he rolls over.

I think if everything else seems to be going good I would just wait and see. I bet she just picks up and goes soon. Is she trying to get up and push herself up on her arms??

Oh yeah she can hold herself up on her arms for a few minutes at a time... it's just the rolling that I'm a little concerned about...
