Troy has alot going on down below. He got a yeast infection from all the antibiotics fpr his ongoing ear infectons. So his doctor told me to use lotrimin (sp) I have been for the last couple of days and now it seems like he is burnt all over his little pee pee and I feel horrible. On top of that he has so pretty mean diaper rash going on too. Any suggestions for either besides desitin and TLC?

have you tried aquafer for the diaper rash. It is fricken magical!

Try and someone correct me if its a worng mix of something but mix a tube of lotrimin , hydrocortizone and either reg desitin or zink , mix it in a bowl that has a lid. Apply it 2x3 times a day. I did the no no would use nystatin (rx) then vasoline then powder layered like that . it gave the diaper something to rub through and the meds a chance to work . If that doesnt work id call and tell them you want a script for nystatin called in . Id bet the diaper rash is yeast also. If he old enopugh to have yogart? if so try giving him the ones with the live active cultures. They hep a ton. ive also heard of people using it as a cream down there.

I use the triple antibiotic diaper rash cream, it fixes all diaper issues with NIcholas

The OTC Lotrimin should really help - Nate had a nasty bout of diaper rash/yeast infection about a year ago and that really cleared it up. We would use the Lotrimin, rub it in really good, then use baby powder instead of Desitin or any other kind of ointment because it kept him drier. Poor little boy!! Hope it clears soon - I feel horrible when Nate's like that! *hugs*

Jayden had a rash down there and it was pretty bad because at one point his penis was bleeding.

Anyway I took him to the ped and he said to use 1% hydrocortozone and triple paste butt cream which I already used and swear by. If that doesnt work they might perscribe an ointment. If it gets bad enough take him in.

good thing is there is no blood butt(hahah) it looks to be clearing up, oh and he hates yogurt so its a no go there.

I always used Dr. Smith's or Beaudreaux's. It always cleared it up super quick.

My dr told me if Tyler ever gets a bad rash to use yeast infection cream. Crazy but I tried it the other day since we are fighting a milk allergy and his butt was raw. One application it cleared right up.

Thats what I use for the bad rashes as well, it's called Nyaderm. Rayna used to get rashes so bad her skin would be raw and bleeding and the Nyaderm was the only thing that would help... I got it from the pharmacist and it was only a couple bucks per tube.

When Austin use to get them they give me an antibotic rash cream and it did miracles.
