Well I took Tyler in for a cough and they said he was fine and the H1N1 came back Neg. Well she was watching him crawl and said he has problems with his left side. So when she went to stretch out his hip he cried. She said she thinks he has developed hip displyasia/?... Anyway we went for x-rays and the DR didnt have a good look on his face. ************************************
Well the Doctor called friday night and his left hip sits higher than his right. The only problem she sees is that he could have a limp when he is older. The one DR said to have surgery but I said no and said I wanted a second opinion. So I took the x-rays down to a physical therpy unit that deals with sports and growth related problems. and they said a little physical therapy can losen the ligaments causing the hip to sit higher. That both bones are the same size so surgery really wont do much for him except losen the hip if they cut the muscles around it.
The PED also disagreed with surgery and sent the pictures to a pediatric ortho surgen that said therapy is the first choice and surgery would be the last straw. So looks like we will go with the therapy unit here in town and since my sister goes every day for her hips (she has had problems since she was a baby and was in a brace for months) they think they might be able to have Tyler do his sessions with my sister that way I dont have to miss work and he will be watched by someone who loves him. DH should be done with hunters in two weeks so then he will take him.

Casey has hip dysplatia and she is at the end of wearing her harness, we go to the dr on Wed to go over her ultra sound and get the all clear to stop the night wearing of the harness. I am glad he just needs therapy, surgery seems like a lot for such a little guy. Good luck with the therapy and let us know how it goes.
