Please ask the companies you work for to participate in this charitable effort!

It's that time of year again: Our Brownie troop is selling
Girl Scout Cookies. Since the Gifts of Caring were
such a hit last year, again we'll be sending cases of
cookies to our troops in the middle east. We hope
that your company can contribute to this effort, so please ask your boss if your company has a charitable donation account
(and remember, it is a tax write off!)

We're collecting for both cookies and postage this year.

Cookies are $42.00 per case of 12 boxes, and the
postage to get them overseas is $8 per case. So the
total amount is $50 per case - a bit more than last year
but we ran into a bunch of S&H issues and I ended up
paying for a lot of shipping out of my pocket...
that got expensive real fast!

Last year we were able to send 44 cases! See
http://www.babiesonline.com/shannon/We_Love_Our_Troops/
This year our goal is 60 cases, postage paid.
Babies Online will be buying 5 cases (for the record).

Our Brownie and Overseas troops thank you for your participation!!!

If your company is able to participate please let me know!!!!!

Hey and I can't afford to buy a whole case on my own...kids birthday this week...but I'd be glad to go in halfers with someone!

First of all, let me say that I do believe in true love. But I also deeply believe in the complexity, variety, and downright insanity of love. A lucky person loves hundreds of people in their lives, all in different ways, family love, friendship love, romantic love, all in so many shades and depths. I don't think you lose your ability--or right--to have true love by loving more than one person. In part, this is true because you never love two people the same way. Another part of it is that, if your lucky, you learn to love better with practice. The bottom line is that you have to choose who you are going to commit to-that's the foundation of true love, not a lack of other options. ~Stephenie Meyer

That's nice. Checks should be made out to the Girl Scouts, with "Gift of Caring" in the memo.
Be sure to send your mailing address, too, so I can send you a receipt for your taxes.

If you go in halfsies with someone, be sure to include both addresses & amounts in a note to me or something.

You can mail these to

Babies Online
PO Box 16858
Albuquerque, NM 87191

Thanks again! The troops really love these cookies!

That's ok, it doesn't matter which troop sends them, what matters is that they reach our guys over there. Glad to hear Sandra's troop is doing the same thing!

WE'RE UP TO 21 CASES

But we still have a long ways to go. If the company you work for has a charitable donation account, please ask them to participate in this endeavor. Last year it was such a moral boosting thing for our guys in Iraq!

And for those of you who are involved with Girl Scouts and are doing something similar locally, last year we sent disposable cameras & SASE along with some of the cookies. The girls really had a great time seeing the guys enjoying a little taste of home. Just thought I'd throw it out there for you Smile
