the new season is premiering tonight

I love that show! I would go nuts with that many kids.

I will never watch them again. They've become icky.

I am watching. They haven't become icky Frances, they are real people with real problems. That's why I will continue to watch it, they don't sugar coat it. Kate is a ******, she is on camera as she is off camera.It is nice to see people doing REAL reality instead of that fake ****, like survivor and what not. All that staged stuff makes me yack.

I recorded it and can't wait to see it, once we finish what we're watching now I'm making dh let me watch it lol

We just watched it, i feel bad for them, i do believe in some form they brought it on themselves yea they deserve privacy but they knew it wasn't like that, i don't agree with their choices but if it works for them great, I hope they can find a way to repair their marriage, even watching them at that BBQ you can tell they don't hate each other they just need to remember where they were years ago and find a way to get back there. You can tell Kate is emotionally drained and i feel awful for both of them

I just dvr'd it and will watch it tonight or tomorrow.

The only reason I say they are icky is because instead of saying, "you know what our family is being really affected by doing this now, let's take a break" Kate just wants to keep going and going. She's even said "I'll do it alone. I have to provide for my kids". They live in a million dollar home, make $70,000 per episode, have tons of paid help... I think it will be OKAY for things to stop.. even just for a little while... to find themselves and figure out what would make them happy. Jon has said he can't stand this and he would like to quit. Kate should respect that and at least try to figure out a mutual agreement. The lack of respect they are showing for each other is IMO icky. They need to quit worrying about losing celebrity status and money... and focus on their family. A crumbling marriage is hard enough... to do it so publicly makes it a million times worse... and it's the kids that are really going to be affected in the long run. I just hope they can figure out how to be happy... I just won't be watching. I have enough drama in my own life to watch someone else's! lol

I dont watch the show, just because I normally dont get control over the remote in this house lol. But I did see some clips from the episode with the kids bday party on the today show and have seen little bits and pieces about what is going on with them on the today show and I think its really sad. If it were me I would do whatever it took to work on my family. That is the most important thing, if it means not doing the show then that is what I would do. I understand they get a lot of money for doing it and that ensures their kids can lead a comfortable lifestyle but really, how comfortable is their life going to be if their family falls apart? I know they will survive and there are many single parent families but I could see the hurt on everyones face in just the pieces I saw of that episode and it was heartbreaking.

I do not think she should have continued with the show this season, Jon wants nothing to do with it and they do not need those cameras in there lives like that while they are trying to save their marriage, but if it was my family I wouldn't have continued the show this season, that's my personal decision, they are both grown ppl. and hopefully their decisions work for them.

I watched it last night and I actually teared up. I really think it's an awful situation they got themselves in.
It seems as if Kate really wants to try and Jon doesn't, which I think is the sad part.
Maybe he is just broken down from all her "controlling-ness" and had enough. I really do think they need a break from the show but I also think they needed to come on and let the public know that they are seperated and working on it and end it at that.

I hope it works out for them and the kids are all ok!!

I agree Shelly and Frances, I do feel bad for both of them and especially the kids. I hope they can fix their marriage but my gut tells me they are going to end up splitting, very sad for the kids. They definitely should take some time off from the show and try and work on them without all the cameras. jmo

I think it is really sad what is going on. I hope that they work on their problems rather then just dismiss them and give up. I know Kate can be rough and drives me nuts sometimes but you can see the hurt in her face. Jon seemed like he was in another world.....

Yea see watching them at the BBQ they don't hate each other, i honestly believe it could still be repaired but they have to try adn with the cameras i don't see that being possible, she said she was doing the show to face the issues not to run and hide and me and dh were talking about it, if she wanted to face the public she is popular enough she could have done a one hour episode special, explained their feelings, did the b-day and tell the public they are taking time off to work on their family, it really bothers me that they did another season right now, it scares me for them, i was in tears throughout the episode too, Jon and Kate are extremely hurt right now and he did not want to do another season, i just don't see it being good for them right now but what do I know

I think it's great that they came on and admitted to having problems. Though they are the only ones who really know the truth. In Jon's defense I will say that he has voiced the fact that he does not want to do the show anymore,but Kate does. Maybe he is just terribly unhappy with what this has done to their lives.Maybe Kate realized too late what toll this was taking on their marriage. But again,no one knows but the two of them. I thought Jon was seemed very defensive in his interviews regarding the cheating and she seemed really defensive regarding how she does this all for the kids,etc... With the money they have,the kids will not be in need of things, if it was me,I would stop the show at this point. You've addressed the issues,which could have given some sort of "closure" to the show. Now walk away and work on yourself and the family. I just don't see how this can be good for the kids to go through all this on camera.

the only ones i feel bad for are those kids! their parents drug them into all this shyt....i dont think its fair to any kids of any "reality" show to be put in the spotlight like this...i find it selfish of the parents to put their kids through any of it!! one or two shows to show what it is like to have so many kids is one thing...but to drag it out then have your whole life and the kids in the lime light all the time is NOT acceptable in my book! yeah.....not cool to me

I really like the show and the kids IMO are happy, I'm noy sure that they would know what to do with out the camera's...

Jon and Kate though I do feel bad for, Jon does seem in his own world and kate seems lonely like she just wants her family, if you look back to kate 5 years ago she looks nothing like she does now, neither of them do, TV had changed them, I wonder what it would be like if they never did the show. At this point I too would take a break from the show for awhile, but I'm sure they are in some type of contract with TLC I just hope everything works out for them. Its hard on any family but I can imagine how hard it can be on one with 8 kids...

I was saddened to see how they are handling it. Yes, they are being honest and out in the open, I give them credit for that, but why do they complain about the media and turn around and do interviews for the media? Everything they were saying says to me that they are not going to be married much longer. If you notice they kept saying they will be there for the kids, etc...they never referred to the marriage or being there for each other. It is sad, I feel for the entire family. Whatever got them here they need to get out of the limelight and focus on their family. I agree with you Frances, they could take a break from the show, get counseling or whatever, but it sounds like they are going to continue the show and have it be about two people taking turns with the kids. I feel for the kids...and them both. I like them both, I truly do and am sad that fame and their marriage problems have come to this.

I know it's rumored they are divorcing but until they say it i will not believe it and though i believe they should have taken time out of the spotlight to work on their marriage, i loved the new episodes tonight, they are struggling but you can tell they still love each other and I pray they can make it through it. And I am very proud of Kate, she is on a reality show I don't blame her for letting the cameras go with her for part of her vacation but she let them come for one day out of their 4 day trips and that is awesome for them!

I saw that they were divorcing and that she gives him a daily 5 dollar allowance, lol, on the cover of a mag. I hope they can work it out too!
