My little man has been EXTREMELY gassy since he was born. Even before he could eat he was gassy. (He spent a week in NICU and couldn't eat until day 3)However, the last 2 days have been exceptionally bad. He fights to go to breast, and our usual 25 minute casual feeding has turned into an hour long nightmare! I don't want him to continue fighting in pain and I have given him some gas drops which seem to help some. The other night he was so miserable that I gave in and had my hubby give him a bottle of my stocked up pumped milk.

I haven't changed my diet at all to cause an increase of gassiness. And I generally NEVER eat the "trigger" foods like cabbage, califlower, broccoli etc. (WAY to healthy for this momma!)Are there any other trigger foods that I should be looking out for that I could eliminate from my diet for awile?

Dairy! You may not have increased or changed the amount that you are taking in but he has. As he gets older he is eating more. As hard as it is you might try cutting dairy out of your diet.

I have been having problems with Kaylee being gassy too. I never thought about dairy. I will try to eliminate that. I understand your pain about being up all night with your baby in pain with gas. I am going through it too. I will be watching this thread to see of any other suggestions. I have tried the gas drops i forget what they are called but didn't give her much relief.
