Wow...we've been BFing 7 months now! I still am in disbelief sometimes how much better this has gone than it did with Ainsley. She nurses like a champ, but I do have supply issues during the week with my pump at work. My body just doesn't respond to the pump very well anymore, however, on the weekend my supply seems plenty enough to keep her happy so I don't have to pump or supplement formula at home. I do send a bottle to a bottle and a half of formula to daycare each day though because I don't pump enough milk to send, but no big deal. That means one can of formula lasts me a long time. I'm not sure how long we will continue. I dont' want to stop now. I definitely want to go to at least 9 months since Ainsley had some breatmilk (from my frozen stockpile) up until 9 months. We will see from there. I don't foresee me going past a year by much, but I think ideally I'd like to make it to a year when she can go straight to cows milk.

Youve done great. Get to a year and she can have reg milk during the day and if you wantto nurse at home keep going. No one way is right . Its whatever you and her want!
