so from the beginning of my pregnancy my son wouldn't latch on. I have been pumping every day but it seems like I get less milk every day. at first I would get about 10 oz a day, now I'm lucky if I get 3. my dr. told me today that I can't increase my supply by pumping, all it does is drain the breast. well here's my problem. even though I don't have much breast milk, by breasts are still huge. I was a 34C before the baby, now I have DDs. my doctor told me not to count on them getting smaller. does anyone know what I can do get them even a little smaller?

I disagree with your Dr., but I'm not an expert. You CAN increase your supply by pumping and nursing more frequently...the only way to get your body to make more milk is to increase the demand by emptying your breasts more often. Just make sure you are emptying them at times when Zeke doesn't need to nurse, like at night, or immediately after he nurses. Otherwise he won't want to latch on if you are empty.

As for your breast size...mine briefly went back to normal size after my first, but I got pregant again fairly quickly. This time I think my breasts are already back to normal size. The first three or four months of breastfeeding they were much larger.

So again...I disagree with your Dr. Maybe he is not well educated on breastfeeding. Unfortunately not all doctors, especially male ones, take the time to educate themselves on it as much as they should for their patients. My Dr. was somewhere in the middle between knowing enough and not so I sought help elsewhere. I suggest calling a lactation consultant at the hospital where you delivered. Usually they will talk with by phone about issues you are having at no cost.

My doctor told me to pump more to help increase my supply when I had Tyler. I guess the more you empty the more it comes in so I also disagree with your DR.

And I have flat pancakes now not plump rolls. I used to be a DD now it takes me a lot of pad and a push up to get a full C. So I think it depends how nature blesses you.
