I Have Too Much Spare Time

Amelia's a little piggy! I was shocked today when she weighed in at 8 lb 7.5 oz! She weighed 7 lb 4 oz at birth, 6 lb 13 oz when we went home from the hospital exactly two weeks ago and was 7 lb 2 oz at her first Dr. visit 10 days ago. I can't believe she's put on so much weight already! That's over 20 ounces in just 10 days!

DH has been bugging me and telling me she hasn't nursed enough when she only nurses 10 minutes or so...guess I can confidently tell him to shut up now! Sometimes she nurses actively for 10 minutes and then is done!

Good little piggy!! LOL It's nice that your DH is concerned that she's not getting enough, but I think babies know when they've had enough. Go, piggy, go! Giggle

I know you are so relieved that she has taken to bf'ing so well. Babies can get more milk from the breast so much faster than from a bottle because once you get letdown it just flows into their mouth with very little effort from baby. Glad you are both doing so well.
